Homework Policy

Your child will have homework each night, Monday through Thursday

  • Read for 20 minutes

  • Math practice sheet

Please review your child’s planner each night for any changes or additional homework. 

Your child should be spending about 30-40 minutes a night on homework.

Your child should be taking home their math notebook each day to refer to.

There may be nights heavier on homework (week of science test, math tests, projects, etc)

Welcome to Mrs. Banks' 4th Grade Class!

Welcome Fourth Grade Families to 2018/2019 School Year!

I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year as they journey through fourth grade. Fourth grade will be a year full of fun, learning, challenges, and adventures! I invite you to participate throughout the year, as it allows for teacher and parent to work together to ensure a successful school year for your child. Please use this website as a means of communication and a resource to stay in touch with what is going on in our classroom. I look forward to a great year together and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. 


Class Donation List


- Crayons, 24 count
- (3) highlighters (blue, yellow, pink)
- Washable Markers primary colors, 8 pen set
- 1 box of 8 colored FINE tip markers
- Two dozen sharpened pencils, good quality
- One dozen pencil cap erasers
- One dozen colored pencil set
- 3 Expo brand BLACK fine/thin tip whiteboard markers

- 10 small glue sticks or 4 large Elmer’s
- 1 1” Binder
- 1 container of Lysol wipes
- Ruler with inches AND centimeters
- 1 student size scissors
- 1 pkg of college ruled lined paper
- 1 ream of white paper
- 1 ream of colored paper 
- 2 70 page spiral notebooks

- 1 composition book
- 1 pair of earbuds for personal use in the classroom
- 1 box of Kleenex
