Student Expectations
Student Behavior Expectations/Personal Standards
Antelope Meadows students are expected to:
Be Safe
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Kind
Behavior Management System
Staff will be using a classroom behavior chart, or “clip chart”, to reward and correct student behavior. It is critical to provide consistent and fair discipline procedures in the classroom and throughout the school. To be successful with PBIS staff will:
-
Teach students the expectations, procedures, and routines so expectations are clear for student behavior
-
Teach students about the PAWS ticket reward system
-
Reward students with “clipping up” and/or PAWS tickets (Each teacher has a list of rewards from which students can choose. For example, your child might earn the reward to bring in a stuffed animal to visit for a day.)
-
Provide appropriate consequences for inappropriate behavior
-
Handle the problem in the classroom as much as possible to minimize missed instructional time
-
Consult with administration for perpetual behavior problems so a plan can be made to help correct the behavior
The “PAWSitively Awesome” Clip Chart
*All staff will use this clip chart
*All students will start the day at “Ready to Learn”
